On March 6, the Election Commission of the Pskov region announced plans to deploy mobile polling stations near the borders with Estonia, Latvia, and Belarus.
Authorities in Pskov Oblast have decided to encourage participation in the presidential elections among those who currently reside in Belarus and the Baltic countries 'for various reasons'. They will station minibuses refitted as polling stations near border crossings. Additional minibuses will serve as cafeterias for voters.
According to the chairman of the Election Commission of the Pskov region, Igor Sopov, these 'mobile polling stations' will have all necessary equipment, including cameras.
